VI meeting of the Club of heads of trade-economic missions (Embassy departments) of foreign countries, accredited in Moscow
On April 18, the sixth meeting of the Club of heads of trade-economic missions (Embassy departments) of foreign countries, accredited in Moscow was held at the Expocentre.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Komi Republic – permanent representative of the Komi Republic to the President of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Club Grigory Sarishvili. First Deputy General Director of Expocentre Nikolay Gusev, Vice-Rector for personal development of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Vice-President of the Club Tatyana Voronova and Vice-Director of the Department of international cooperation of the Ministry of energy of Russian Federation Natalya Slusar.
The experience in the production and use of renewable energy sources was shared by the representatives of China and Iceland, the Deputy Head of the representative Office of the Ulyanovsk region Boris Levchenko and the Managing Director of the Eurasian Development Bank Alexander Gareev, spoke about the possibilities of financing such projects.
The discussion was attended by about 60 representatives of foreign countries, including trade representatives of Armenia, Bulgaria, Guatemala, Zimbabwe, India, Laos, Palestine, Poland, Syria, Switzerland, South Africa and other countries, as well as representatives of the Ministry of economic development of Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry, CCI, employees of major energy, oil and gas companies.
Summing up the meeting, Vice-President of the Club Grigory Sarishvili noted that Russia will benefit from Iceland’s experience in the use of geothermal energy, and foreign representatives are interested in the experience of the Ulyanovsk region in the use of wind energy, so each participant of the meeting will find new opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial relations with Russia.
The next meeting of the Club will be held in October 2018 during the exhibition “Lesdrevmash-2018”. The theme of this meeting will be the development of cooperation in the forest industry.
