On November 21, the tenth anniversary meeting of the Club of heads of trade-economic missions (Embassy departments) of foreign countries, accredited in Moscow, dedicated to the development of the digital economy and high-tech business was held.


The event was attended by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors and Embassy Counselors representing more than 60 countries, representatives of federal and regional authorities and large organizations involved in the development of international export-import relations: #REC, #Rossotrudnichestvo, #EEC, #CCI, #RSPP, #MCCI, #CCPIT and others.

A word of greeting was given to the Rector of Moscow Food Technology University Mikhail Balykhin, in which he presented the latest innovative developments of the University, unique training programs and noted the importance of international cooperation in these areas.

Vice-President of the International Council for Economic Cooperation of the Regions, Co-factor Company’s partner Vitaly Abramkin made a report on the export of high-tech products.

Among the speakers there were also representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian Export Center, the NUST MISIS, the Silk Way Russian-Chinese Innovation Park, and The Kaluga Region Government Representative Office under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The speakers touched on the issues of particularities and conditions for the development of exports and imports of innovative digital technologies and equipment, international and interregional cooperation in the supply of high-tech products and expanding their presence in world markets. In particular, the issues of exporting educational services and measures to support entrepreneurship with the provision of advisory services were discussed.

In the section of the program “Hour of the Russian Regions”, which traditionally gives the floor to representatives of the Russian regions, the investment potential of the Kaluga Region was presented.

In the final part of the meeting, Alexander Turov, Vice President of the International Council for Economic Cooperation of the Regions, informed all participants about the format of the work of the International Council.

The official part of the event was summed up by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Komi Republic, Permanent Representative of the Komi Republic to the President of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Club Grigory Sarishvili: “The development of high-tech industries and the promotion of high-tech exports are one of the priority tasks facing both the national and regional levels. Without this, the process of integration into the global economic space and the effective development of the economy of any state is complicated.”
